Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna MP Namal Rajapaksa has apologised to farmers on behalf of his Uncle, the former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa for his organic fertilizer initiative that has all but destroyed the agriculture industry in Sri Lanka. 

The MP attending a meeting in Digamadulla is reported to have said he apologises to the farmers as a party for the decision made regarding fertilizer.
