Sri Lankan cricketing legend and philanthropist Roshan Mahanama has launched a new social services initiative to provide assistance to Sri Lankan children. The "Roshan Mahanama Trust" initiated by him will work towards building a solid educational foundation, healthy life and a safe environment for underprivileged children of Sri Lanka.

In a message on his Facebook page on the launch, he said “The ‘Roshan Mahanama Trust’ was successfully launched today with the participation of the trustees, my family, dear friends, and many renowned personalities at the Jetwing Hotel, Colombo 7.

Based on the “WE PROMISE” pledge, the key vision of the trust is to empower Sri Lankan Communities and offer a helping hand to those who are in need! 

The event was indeed a success and I would like to thank everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to be a part of this wonderful event both in-person and virtually!”
