Activist Lahiru Weerasekra alias Aka has been released after he was granted bail by the Maligakanda Magistrates Court today. He was released on two surety bails of Rs. 200,000 each.

Police Media Spokesperson SSP Nihal Talduwa said that he was arrested on charges of obstructing the duties of police officers and for unruly behaviour during a recent protest in the Maradana area.
