It appears President Ranil Wickremesinghe has appointed two state ministers each for the subjects of finance and urban development.

Accordingly, Ranjith Siyambalapitiya and Shehan Semasinghe have both been appointed as State Ministers of Finance while Thenuka Vidanagamage and Arundika Fernando have been appointed as State Ministers for Urban Development and Housing.

When inquired an official from the Presidential Secretariat said it is expected various subjects coming under each ministry will be divided among the two state ministers appointed.
