The fourth round of disussions between the Sri Lana Freedom Party and the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna is currently underway at the Opposition Leader's Office in Colombo, Asian Mirror learns.
This is the first discussion between the two parties after the Easter Sunday Explosions wich claimed the lives of over 250.
Although the two parties have held three rounds of discussions so far, the talks are yet to see any significant outcome.
The discssuons suffered an unexpected setback when the SLFP decided to abstain from voting on the third reading of the budget in April.
Meanwhile, several key figures in the SLPP, including Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa, have openly criticized President Maithripala Sirisena's conduct in the aftermath of the Easter Sunday explosions.
