The Police recovered 46 swords, knives and a pistol from a well near the Jumma moaque in Maligawatte.

The mosque is located in the vicinity of the R.Premadasa cricket stadium, Police said.

They added that the suspicious items were wrappied in a fertilizer bag and hidden in the well.

The Police conducted the search operation following information received by them on suspicious activities in the area.

Further investigations are underway.
