The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) is currently interrogating 24 suspects arrested over the series of explosions in the country yesterday, the Police Media Spokesman added. 

The Air Force announced earlier today that they arrested a father and two sons from Diyatalawa with some T-56 live ammunition.

The arms were recovered during a surveillance activity conducted in the area. 

This followed the recovery of an Improvised Explosive Device detected at the BIA, Katunayake, last night. 

The Air Force disposed the device in controlled explosion on site.
