Popular singer Amal Perera's son, Nadeemal Perera was summoned to the CID to record a statement earlier today. 

Nadeemal Perera was arrested in Dubai in February when the country's law enforcement authorities raided a party hosted by underworld criminal Makandure Madhush. 

He was later deported to Sri Lanka by the Dubai police. Nadeemal Perera was questioned for several hours by the Police upon his return from Dubai. 

Police sources said Nadeemal Perera was questioned today on his alleged links to the associates of Madhush. They added Perera left the CID a short while ago, after giving the statement.
