Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa's youngest son, Rohitha Rajapaksa and his bride, Tatyana Lee Jayaratne, had a wedding ceremony according to the Hindu tradition today. 

Family sources said the ceremony took place at the Mayurapathi Kovil, in Colombo, with the participation of friends and family.

Former President and Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa was seen taking part in Hindu rituals passionately.

The Hindu wedding took place a day after Rohitha and Tatyana had their church wedding, in Colombo. 

It was not immediately clear as to why the newly-weds decided to have a ceremony according to the Hindu tradition.
