President Maithripala Sirisena is scheduled to fly to Thailand after his visit to Singapore, our sources within the Presidential Secretariat said.
It will be President Sirisena's third overseas visit in a month.
Sirisena sparked a fresh controversy earlier this week when he took two SLFP MPs - General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekera and S.B. Dissanayake - as part of his delegation to Singapore where he attended a number of events including a conference for environmental authorities in the Asia-Pacific region.
None of the Cabinet ministers has been included in President Sirisena's delegation to Singapore.
Meanwhile, Several SLFP MPs, including Dilan Perera, Nishantha Mutuhettigama, Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Dushmantha Mithrapala, Lasantha Alagiyawann, Angajan Ramanathan and Sriyani Wijewickrema were seen touring with Sirisena in the Philippines last week. Foreign Affairs Minister Thilak Marapana was the only Cabinet member to be included in the President's delegation to the Philippines.
