Former President and Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa's youngest son, Rohitha Rajapaksa, got married at a gala wedding in Weeraketiya - the hometown of the Rajapaksa family - this morning. 

Rajapaksa married Tatyana Lee Jayaratne, a model and a young businesswoman. 

The ceremony was studded with politicians from both parties. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, a long-standing personal friend of former President Rajapaksa, was also seen among the participants. 

Several UNP Ministers including Mangala Samaraweera, Kabir Hashim and Sagala Ratnayaka also attended the wedding. 

On his official Twitter account, Rohitha Rajapaksa identifies himself as a "Space Systems Engineer, a pilot, a Rugby player and a proud Sri Lankan."

He has also earned popularity as a singer.
