A tense situation was reported from the Department of Immigration and Emigration this morning when proceedings were delayed as a result of a breakfast hosted by the Minister. 

Having been unconscionably delayed, patrons standing in long queues demanded to know why the Department wasn't processing their applications. 

It was then that they learned that the relevant officials were at a breakfast organised by the Minister in charge, to mark his first day in office. 

The situation was quickly brought under control when Department officials returned to their stations to begin processing applications.
