President Maithripala Sirisena and former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga had been at the 120th birth anniversary celebration of former President S.W.R.D. Bandaranaike, in Colombo, this morning.
However, there was no communication between the two leaders during the event.
President Sirisena has rushed out of the event after paying his tribute to former Prime Minister Bamdaranaike, the founder of SLFP.
The former President, however, was seen having a long discussion with SLFP General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekera.
Kumaratunga still remains a patron of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party. However, she has not attended any internal party meeting since the outbreak of the political crisis.
