Finance and Media Minister Mangala Samaraweera said the vote on account for the next four months will be presented to Parliament tomorrow.
The move will ensure that the government raises funds to meet the government expenses of the first four months of 2019.
Samaraweera, who took oaths this morning as the Finance Minister, assumed duties immediately to ensure that the vote on account is presented to Parliament tomorrow.
Speaking to the media after the assumption of duties, Samaraweera said his government would take every possible measure to mitigate the damage caused by the political crisis.
"The political crisis broke out five days ahead of the budget for the next financial year. All our plans were disrupted as an illegal government took office by force," Samaraweera said.
When contacted by Asian Mirror, a senior government spokesman said the UNF and the TNA would vote in favour of the Vote on Account tomorrow.
