Security has been beefed up in and around the Hulftsdorp courts complex as the Supreme Court is set to deliver a historic verdict on the dissolution of Parliament.
In addition to the ordinary Police force, the Police Special Task Force (STF) has also been deployed to strengthen security in the area.
The Supreme Court is scheduled to deliver the verdict today at 4 PM.
Many Parliamentarians representing all political parties in Parliament and a large number of civil society activists are expected to be present in the courtroom to hear the verdict being delivered.
A seven-member bench, headed by Chief Justice Nalin Jayalath Perera, heard the case.
Thirteen petitioners and five intervening petitioners have filed submissions in the Supreme Court over four days.
