President Maithripala Sirisena has postponed the meeting with the United National Front party leaders scheduled for tonight at the Presidential Secretariat.
UNF sources said the President would meet the party leaders tomorrow at 8 PM.
The UNF was scheduled to meet President Sirisena today with a fresh set of proposals to resolve the current political crisis.
The discussion both parties held on Friday night ended inconclusively.
The President, however, will meet UPFA Parliamentarians tonight to discuss the current political situation.
The reason for the sudden change in schedule is not yet clear. This also comes amid reports that Sirisena is planning to withdraw the gazette notification dissolving Parliament.
