Chief Justice Nalin Perera has appointed a seven-judge bench to hear the petitions against the dissolution of Parliament. 

Chief Justice Nalin Perera, Justices Prasanna Jayawardena, Priyantha Jayawardena, Buwaneka Aluwihare, Vijith Malalgoda, Sisira de Abrew and Murdu Fernando will hear the petitions on December 03. 

The ruling of the case is expected to be delivered on December 07. 

Thirteen political parties and civil society organizations filed petitions against the President's move to dissolve Parliament and five intervening petitions were also filed supporting the move.
