Speaker Karu Jayasuriya will hold a party leaders meeting today at 9 AM to make a final decision on the composition of the Parliament Selections Committee.
Sixteen names have already been nominated by four political parties for the twelve member committee that will play a critical role in setting the agenda of the Legislature.
The UNP, last evening, nominated five MPs for the committee, including Lakshman Kiriella, Patali Champika Ranawaka, Mano Ganesan, Rauff Hakeem and Rishad Bathiudeen.
The TNA and the JVP have nominated two names each for the selections committee.
The UPFA has nominated seven names, despite the alliance not having a majority in Parliament.
