IP Neomal Rangajeewa, who was arrested over the Welikada prison riots, has been reinstated in his position at the Police Narcotics Bureau. 

The order to reinstate him came from IGP Pujith Jayasundara.  

Rangajeewa was released on bail on September 27, on a personal bail bond of Rs. 100,000. 

A travel ban was also imposed in him, and he was also expected to present himself before the CID on the last Sunday of every month.
