Several Parliamentarians came under chillie powder and water attacks by protesting UPFA Parliamentarians, after the second No Confidence Motion was passed in Parliament amid severe interruptions. 

JVP Parliamentarian Vijitha Herath, UNP MP Malik Samarawickrma and UNP MP Gamini Jayawickrema Perera were among MPs who came under attack this afternoon. 

Several Police officers also came under attack as the UPFA MPs resisted the Speaker's attempt to conduct the proceedings scheduled for the day. 

They were given first-aid treatment at the Parliamentary medical unit.
