UNP Leader and ousted Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe arrived in Parliament, a short while ago, to attend the Parliamentary sessions.
This is the first time Wickremesinghe stepped out of the Prime Minister's official residence in 19 days.
Soon after arriving in Parliament, he went on to convene a Parliamentary group meeting with the UNP MPs.
Meanwhile, at a party leaders meeting this morning, the majority of political parties in Parliament, except for the UPFA and the EPDP, requested to debate the no-confidence motion against Mahinda Rajapaksa and his government today.
They insisted that the vote on the No-Confidence Motion should be taken this evening.
Informed sources said parliamentary sessions would commence today with a motion to suspend Standing Orders allowing the NCM process to proceed.
