The gazette notification relating to the dissolution of Parliament and the announcement of the General Election has now been published. 

According to the Gazette, the next Parliamentary election is scheduled to be held on January 05.

The nomination process for the election will take place between November 19 and 26. 

The first session of the new Parliament is expected to take place on January 17. 

However, sources say the President's Gazette on the dissolution of Parliament is likely to be challenged in the Supreme Court.
