Three Hikers Who Exposed Themselves On Pidurangala Rock Re-remanded By Dambulla Magistrate until Oct 10

The Dambulla Magistrate has re-remanded the three hikers who were arrested for exposing themselves on the Pidurangala rock until October 10.

They were arrested under the Police Ordinance and the legislation against obscene publications.

The lawyers appearing for the youths argued that Pidurangala has not been identified as an archaeological site.

The three youth were arrested for taking their half-naked pictures while on the Pidurangala rock and posting them on social media.

The Police launched an inquiry into the incident under a directive from Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

It has now been established that the three youth are post-A/Level hikers.
