Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is scheduled to meet British Prime Minister Theresa May during the former's visit to the country.
Theresa May is grappling with a crisis within her own administration over her Brexit plan which has come under fire from many circles.
Wickremesinghe too has run into a foreign exchange crisis over constant devaluation of the rupee and the immobility of the export sector.
This will be the first bilateral meeting of the two leaders and they are expected to discuss a number of topics on a wide range of matters.
Wickremesinghe is scheduled to arrive in London after his official visit to Norway where he will meet a number of influential figures in the Norwegian government.
Wickremesinge is accompanied by ministers and MPs of the SLFP and the UNP. State Minister Wijith Wijayamuni Zoysa, a supporter of President Maithripala Sirisena, has also been included in the Prime Minister's delegation.
