President Maithripala Sirisena has ordered to recall the Sri Lankan Ambassador to Vienna, Austria, for not answering his phone calls.
In addition to the Ambassador, five other senior staff members of the embassy have also been recalled for not answering President Sirisena's long distance telephone calls.
When contacted by us, Foreign Ministry sources confirmed that the Sri Lankan Ambassador to Vienna had been recalled.
They said a new ambassador and senior staff members for the embassy would be announced soon.
This comes in less than a week after SriLankan Airlines dismissed its cashew supplier after President Sirisena found the cashew nuts served to him on a flight "inedible."
