Two UPFA Parliamentarians Namal Rajapaksa and D.V. Chanaka today mocked their official party leader, President Maithripala Sirisena over the latter's famous 'cahsew nut' remark yesterday.
Both Parliamentarians today posed for a photograph grinning, with a handful of cashew nuts.
The photograph, posted on Chanaka's official Facebook profile, did not have a caption. However, the timing of the photograph, the grin and the finger pointed at cashew nuts were convincing evidence that they were trying to mock the President.
Althoigh the two MPs work with the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, they are still members of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) led by President Sirisena.
Sirisena launched a scathing attack on the hational carrier, yesterday, over cashew nuts offred to him on a SriLankan Airlines flight, last week.
Sirisena not even a dog could eat the cashew nuts offered to him on a SriLankan Airlines flight last week.
Addressing a farmers' event in Hambantota - the hometown of Rajapaksa and Chanaka - an angry Sirisena asked who approved unedible cashew for the national carrier.
