Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa's Private Secretary Uditha Lokubandara has made headlines again for holding a brief case behind the former President's back during the 'Jana balaya Kolambata' protest march.
It was not as to why Lokubandara held a brief case behind his back. Some argued that Lokubandara held it for protection while some assumed the brief case was to give the former President some 'head support'.
Former President Rajapaksa and former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa joined the protest at the Fort railway station and headed towards the Lake House roundabout, in an open vehicle, with their supporters.
Lokubandara was always by Rajapaksa's side from the time the latter joined the protest and the subsequent Sathyagraha campaign.
Rajapaksa was seen yelling at his Private Secretary Uditha Lokubandara yesterday in the presence of TV cameras, two weeks ago.
The incident took place outside the former President's personal residence in Colombo.
"Moda Yakek," Rajapaksa told one of his aides, referring to his own Private Secretary Lokubandara. At the time the remark was made, Lokubamdara was flanking the former President.
