Justice Minister Thalatha Atukorale inaugurated the first special High Court to try large scale corruption cases,a short while ago. 

Three High Court judges have been appointed by the Chief Justice to hear cases in the court. 

The special Trial-at-Bar will comprise High Court Judges Sampath Abeykoon, Sampath Wijeratne and Champa Janaki Rajaratne.

Corruption cases involving several high profile politicians too are expected to be heard in the Special HC.
