Railway unions said they would operate several trains this evening as well, despite the ongoing trade union action. 

They said the trains would be operated on a request by the management of the railway department. 

The government, however, has informed the railway unions to call off the strike and come for negotiations. 

Railway unions launched an unannounced strike last Wednesday demanding the government to resolve salary anomalies in the sector.
