Death toll of the inclement weather conditions affecting Sri Lanka has risen to 11, the Disatster Management Centre said.
It added that over 105000 people have been affected by heavy rains, floods and landslides.
The DMC also stated that inclement weather conditions had affected 18 districts.
According to the Meteorological Department, Sri Lanka is expecting heavy rains (exceeding 150 mm) in the next 24 hours.
Inclement weather conditions will particularly prevail in Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and North-Western provinces.
Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) said no tourist has so far been affected by floods and landslides. The SLTDA added it was working closely with relevant government bodies to ensure the safety of tourists.
