Namal Declines Mangala's Challenge: Says MR Has No Time For Debates With Ministers Who Do Nothing

Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa, responding to a challenge posed by Finance and Media Minister Mangala Samaraweera to former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, said the former President did not have time to engage in "meaningless debates" with ministers who do nothing.

Rajapaksa told Samaraweera, "Deliver first and then come for a debate."

Declining the challenge, he said the former President did not have a reason to take part in a debate with a minister who does nothing.

The Parliamentarian, in a statement said, even the basic socio-economic issues in the Hambantota district have not been resolved yet.

"This government is good at playing its own trumpet. But it has not been able to get a single project done," he added.
