Power supply has been disrupted in several suburban areas, the Ceylon Electricity Board said. 

Jayawardenapura, Dehiwala, Mt. Lavinia, Ratmalana, Pannipitiya, Battaramulla and Moratuwa areas have experienced electricity breakdowns this morning. 

The CEB said the power failure was due to a breakdown in Biyagama.
