Joint Opposition MP Dilum Amunugama has been summoned to the Police Terrorism Investigations Division today over racially motivated violent incidents that broke out in the Kandy districts in March. 

Informed Police sources said the MP had been summoned to record a statement. 

Some Local Government politicians of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna have been remanded over violence in the Kandy district. 

They are believed to be strong supporters of MP Amunugama.
