The Terrorist investigations Division (TID) has arrested an impostor who appeared as an Additional Secretary to President Maithripala Sirisena. 

Police sources said the suspect had obtained millions of rupees from various parties promising government jobs. 

Further investigations are currently underway into the incident. 

The incident comes a few days after President's Chief of Staff Dr. I.K Mahanama was arrested by the Bribery Commission while accepting a Rs. 2 million bribe to pass a contract.
