The Industry and Commerce Ministry announced today the price of a 400g pack of powdered milk would increase in price by Rs. 20 while a1kg pack would increase by Rs. 50.

These changes were made by the Industry and Commerce Ministry in adherence to recommendations by the Cost of Living Committee to the Consumer Affairs Authority.

The price changes will affect powdered milk manufactured from tomorrow (5) onward, but will not affect powdered forms of infant milk.

A gazette notification in this regard will be issued today, the Industry and Commerce Ministry said in its statement.
