Sarath Wijeratne, the owner of the rubber factory in Horana where five people died after being exposed to ammonia surrendered to the Horana Police this morning.
He was arrested and remanded until ay 11.
Meanwhile, the factory manager and senior laboratory controller who arrested in the aftermath of the incident were also remanded till May 11.
The incident occurred on April 18, when an employee died after falling into a vat of ammonia while cleaning the tank.
Four others who attempted to save him had also succumbed to their injuries. Ten others were hospitalised after the incident.
Meanwhile the Central Environmental Authority (CEA) has temporarily suspend operations at the rubber factory pending investigations into the incident.
