Minister Harin Fernando has been appointed the Communications Secretary of the UNP. 

State Minister Ajith P Perera has been appointed the party's Trade Union Secretary. 

The new appointments have been made according to internal reforms suggested by the newly appointed political bureau. 

The appointments were endorsed by the UNP Working Committee, chaired by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, this morning.
