The Sri Lanka Freedom Party has decided to go for a  gully re-organization of the party targeting national level elections in 2020. 

The decision has been arrived at during the Central Committee meeting of the party held last night at the official residence of the President. 

Speaking on the outcome of the meeting, a senior party spokesman said the internal reforms would be aimed at ensuring the victory of President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential election in 2020. 

He said President Sirisena would be the candidate of the SLFP at the next Presidential election. 

The spokesman also added that several committees would be appointed in the future to carry out reorganization programme of the party.
