Sri Lanka Rupee Sets New Record: Depreciates Further On Wednesday And Hits A Record Low

Sri Lankan rupee dipped further today to hit a record low. 

The rupee was valued at 159.04 against the US Dollar on Wednesday. Economic observers said the record-breaking depreciation of the rupee was a serious challenge for the government.  

The Sri Lankan rupee was valued at 158.69 against the US Dollar on Tuesday. 

On Monday, the Sri Lankan rupee was valued at 156.90 against the US Dollar.
