Fast bowler Lasith Malinga who was left out of the Sri Lankan cricket squad a few months ago has been recalled to play domestic cricket, Asian Mirror learns. 

Malinga, the highest wicket taker in the recently concluded club cricket tournament has been included in the preliminary squad of the Dambulla team for the super provincial 50 over tournament organized by the Sri Lanka Cricket. 

After he was dropped from the squad, Malinga was recruited by IPL franchise Mumbai Indians as their bowling mentor. 

Malinga recently made a statement saying he wished to continue in the international cricket arena.
