The manager of the rubber factory in Wellapitiya, Horana was remanded till April 25 today.

He was arrested yesterday for negligence and failure to adhere to safety standards, when an employee of the factory fell into a vat of ammonia.

The employee and four others who had attempted to rescue him had died while they were being taken to the hospital.

Ten others who exposed to the fumes were also admitted to hospital.
