The government has appointed a new board of directors for its national carrier SriLankan Airlines.
The new board of directors is headed by Ranjit Fernando, a former banker and prominent private sector figure.
Fernando replaces Ajith Dias who was appointed to the position soon after the current government came to power.
Mano Thiththawella, Susantha Katugampola, Dr. Roshan Perera and Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy.
The main task of the new board of directors is to revive the cash-strapped company which has already run into staggering losses.
