The owner of the BMW that hit two cars and plunged into the Diyawanna Oya on Saturday (17) was remanded until March 17 today.

The owner, identified as one Fahim Mohammed Hussain, was arrested yesterday and produced before courts this morning.

He had allegedly driven the car at high speed in the Thalawatugoda area before losing control and veering off the road into the Oya.

He had the abandoned the car and fled the scene but was tracked down by the Police who made the arrest.
