The police have imposed curfew in the administrative district of Kandy until further notice. 

The decision comes in the wake of a few incidents reported in the area this morning. 

The Army has also been deployed to ensure law and order in the area. 

Meanwhile, the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission has directed Dialog Axiata to block access to internet in the Kandy District. 

The move is aimed at curbing the attempts of rabble-rousers.
