The no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Ranil Wickremeisnghe is likely to be presented to Parliament next week, informed political sources said.
It is learnt that the no-confidence motion will be presented by the Joint Opposition.
The Joint Opposition, the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and a group of UNP MPs are likely to support the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
State Ministers Palitha Range Bandara and Wasantha Senanayake have openly stated that they would vote in favour of the no-confidence motion.
Joint Opposition MP mahindananda Aluthgamage previously said some other prominent members of the UNP will also support the no-confidence motion.
