A soldier has been arrested in connection with the Diyatalawa Bus explosion, last week, the Police said.
The suspect, the Police sources said, is a Sergeant attached to the Army.
Initial investigations revealed that the grenade was inside the bag of a soldier who travelled in the bus.
However, the identity of the soldier who carried the grenade in his bag has not yet been established.
It is suspected that the solder may have stolen the grenade from an Army camp with the intention of committing a crime.
Army Commander Mahesh Senanayake also appointed a five member committee to probe into the matter.
