Several Ministers stressed that the government must take stern action against individuals who attacked Muslim shops and a mosque in Ampara last might.
Primary Industries Ministers Daya Gamage, ACMC Leader Rishad Bathiudeen and SLMC Leader Rauff Hakeem were among those who pressed for action at the Cabinet meeting today.
They asserted that the government's inaction would add to the frustration of the Muslims in the area.
