The much talked about Cabinet reshuffle nat not take place this morning too, highly placed government sources said.
Although the reshuffle was initially scheduled to take place yesterday (21) it was postponed to today due to differences of opinion between the UNP and the SLFP over a few portfolios.
However, it was revealed today that the reshuffle might not take place this morning as well.
When asked about the matter yesterday, Special Projects Minister Dr. Sarath Amunugama, who is tipped to receive a new position at the reshuffle, said only astrologers knew about the date of the reshuffle.
Another senior Minister said the reshuffle was no different from 'Balagiridoshaya'. "It's always not today, but tomorrow - just like many other affairs of the government."
Political sources also added that two senior ministers representing the UNP would be appointed ministers of special projects, allowing two young ministers to take over their current portfolios.
