UNP State Minister Palitha Range Bandara has resigned from his electorate organizer post in Anamaduwa, today.
Party sources said Range Bandara's letter of resignation had been set to UNP General Secretary Kabir Hashim this morning.
The State minister's resignation from the electorate organizer post comes in the wake of the UPFA's plans to draw the support of a section of UNP MPs to form a government.
Rage Bandara's resignation suggests that henis dissatisfied with the current UNP leadership. Speculation was rife that the State Minister was negotiating with the UPFA for a possible crossover.
