The Colombo Fort Magistrate has named former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran, Perpetual Treasuries Owner Arjuna Aloysius and its CEO Kasun Palihena as suspects in the Treasury bonds case.
Mahendran has been ordered to give a statement to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) on February 15.
A travel ban has also been issued on the former Central Bank Governor preventing him from leaving the country.
However, as Mahendran is a Singapore citizen, notice has to be issued through the Singapore Police. The court has directed the CID to take necessary measures in this regard.
It is learnt that the CID will soon contact the Singapore Police to issue notice on the former Central Bank Governor.
